DAVID HOHMANN is a Monterey Peninsula artist working out of his private Marina studio.
David’s early drawings started as early as when he could pick up a pencil in elementary school. He was strongly influence by the popular Saturday morning cartoons of the 60’s.
As David grew into his teen years he was impressed with the pen & ink illustrations of underground magazines (Zap Comic, etc.) and Rock & Roll posters of the 60’s and 70’s.
David attended Laguna Beach School of Art. However, considers himself self-taught.
“Every drawing starts fresh, with no preconceived plan. “I create as I draw. “ I let the artwork “piece” itself together.”
